Goal # 1 - ACCOMPLISHED!!!

This will be a short post as I am short on time.  I just wanted to announce that I have completed my Phlebotomy Certification course requirements, scored 100% on the final exam, and am now a Certified Phlebotomist! :) I am so proud of myself!!!

The kids and I went to Leatherby's with some friends to celebrate the day I got my test score back. The certificate is hanging on my wall in its cherrywood frame and it looks BEAUTIFUL! I have 2 other frames awaiting certificates - IV Certification, and my MA - I'll have both by July. YAY!

It's so nice to finally feel like my life is coming together instead of falling apart at the seams!

Next goal : GRADUATION FROM EAGLE GATE COLLEGE

Love Times Four

Well, I was all set to commemerate this February 14th as National Singles Awareness Day, but my little gang had other plans for me. :)
Among my gifts from my little Valentines were handmade cards (glue streaks visible), glitter filled envelopes of tiny cuout hearts, and a ring and pair of earrings with rhinestones. :)
I also received a pedicure & foot massage from Mickie, a back rub from the boys, and Aubrie ran me a bubble bath that night. :)

I did the traditional treasure hunt for the kids with rhyming clues and little gifts hidden throughout the house. Each one provoked a squeal or a giggle or a happy little scream from somewhere in our heart and lace bedecked home, and I couldn't help but smile as I listened to them all rushing around reading their clues and finding their little tokens of love from Mommy.

My youngest of the 4, Thomas, came running up to me after he'd finished his hunt, chocolate in hand and smeared on his little face and threw his arms around my neck and said "thank you so much for the presents, Mommy! This is the best Valentine's Day ever!! " We all settled in for a movie & popcorn, and fell asleep snuggling in the living room.

As I tucked them in that night, each still wearing their Valentine T Shirts I bought them on the way to school that morning (because I've been so busy I spaced getting them beforehand...lol), I looked at their little faces, remembered all the little things they'd done for me that day, and I thought to myself, "Singles Awareness Day (aka SAD) has a new name for me... Loves of My Life Day (aka LOL Day) " .

I've been blessed enough to have Cupid pair me up with 4 Loves of My Life, all of which bring me plenty of LOL to get me through not only a holiday I was dreading, but through every day of my busy, hectic life. They are my world. Chocoalate smeared faces and all. :)

Drumroll please...

This is me. :) Just so you have a face to put with the name.

Guess it's about time...

Well, hello! :)

I think it's about time my little family has a blog here. Facebook doesn't cut it for updates to family and friends anymore, so here we go!

I'm brand new at blogging, so I'm sure it'll improve as I go along. For now, don't expect anything fancy!

I'll just update on things going on with the kids and school for all of us. Sports, awards, etc.

Hopefully we'll get some followers. I'll post tons of pics and you'll hear a lot about what I'm studying in school. :)

I'm looking forward to keeping track of our lives on here. Til next time - smile! :)
